Berwick police chief reports Houma woman arrested on drug charges

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrest:

—Casey Lopez, 31, of Kemper Street in Patterson, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. Monday on a Texas warrant for probation violation. St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office narcotics division detectives conducted an investigation at the address listed above. During the investigation, detectives learned of the warrant for Lopez’s arrest. She was taken to the parish jail and held. No bail is set.

Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Glenn Blanco reported the following arrests:

—Scott Comeaux, 34, of Levee Road in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. Saturday for disturbing the peace. Comeaux was taken to jail and held. He was released on $292 bail.

—John Pheasant, 56, of Seattle, was arrested at 7:48 a.m. Friday for appearing in public intoxicated. Pheasant was taken to jail and held. He was released on $292 bail.

—John Alcina, 28, of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Patterson, was arrested at 2:56 a.m. Sunday for DWI, speeding 47 mph in a 35 mph zone and improper lane usage.

An officer on patrol in the area of La. 182 and Eleventh Street observed a vehicle traveling west and it appeared the vehicle was travelling at a speed higher than the posted speed limit. He activated his radar, which yielded a result of 47 mph in a posted 35 mph zone. The officer also observed the vehicle swerve in his lane crossing the centerline and turning lane several times. The vehicle was stopped near the La. 182 and U.S. 90 junction. The driver, identified as Alcina, was found to have been drinking. The officer conducted a field sobriety test in which Alcina failed. He was arrested and refused to take the Intoxilyzer test. He was taken to jail, and later released on $4,250 bail.

—Martin Chatman, 30, of Jones Street in Berwick, was arrested at 3:03 a.m. Sunday for appearing in public intoxicated and remaining on the premises after being forbidden. He was taken to jail and released after posting $634 bail.

Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:

—Two juveniles were arrested at 2:14 p.m. Monday for disturbing the peace fighting at Berwick Junior High School. Both were released to their parents.

—Steven Kade Anthony Legnon, 19, of Second Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:18 p.m. Monday on a warrant from the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office for carnal knowledge of a juvenile and on a charge of theft from Berwick police. Legnon was transferred to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.

—Sheryl Davis Skinner, 49, of Pluto Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:36 a.m. Friday on warrants for probation violations. Skinner was taken to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville.

—Brandy Michelle Lejeune, 36, of Moss Lane in Houma, was arrested at 5:31 p.m. Sunday for possession of marijuana, possession of schedule I (heroin) with intent to distribute, possession of schedule II (crystal meth) with intent to distribute and possession of schedule IV (clonazepam), possession of drug paraphernalia second offense and obstruction of justice. Lejeune was taken to jail and held. Bail is set at $30,000.
