Berwick man arrested for purchasing alcohol for minors
MOGAN CITY, La. -- Three people involved in the same incident were arrested by Morgan City police Friday after one of them allegedly provided alcohol and a pill to a minor, according to Assistant Police Chief Glenn Blanco.
Anthony Alleman, 26, of River Road in Berwick, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. Friday for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile and unlawful purchase of alcoholic beverage by a person under 21.
Kathryn Guarisco, 19, of Sixth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. Friday, for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Jeremy Pearce, 18, of Sixth St. in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. Friday for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Officers responded to Sixth Street in Morgan City after the parents of a 13-year-old juvenile advised that their child had received alcohol while at the residence. According to the complainant, the child had called for them for transportation.
When the parents of the juvenile arrived at the residence, they noticed that their child appeared to be intoxicated.
When questioned, they discovered that the child had been provided alcohol and an unknown brown pill. According to the police report, this caused the child to become disoriented.
Guarisco and Pearce denied giving alcohol to the juvenile. Officers determined that Alleman had provided the unknown pill to the child, the report stated, and Alleman admitted to purchasing the alcohol for Guarisco and Pearce. They were arrested, booked and later released after posting bails of $10,000.
