MCHS scrimmages Berwick

Berwick’s and Morgan City’s softball teams scrimmages each other Tuesday at Magee Park in Morgan City as both teams continue their preparations for their upcoming seasons. Berwick will continue preseason preparations with a scrimmage at Houma Christian Thursday at 4 p.m. It’s junior varsity will compete in the Thibodaux Jamboree Friday, while its varsity will compete in Teurlings’ Jamboree Saturday. Lumberjills fall in overtime

CCHS routs Highland Baptist, 75-13

Central Catholic improved to 19-2 overall and 8-0 in District 7-1A with a 75-13 win. Central Catholic, Class 1A’s top-ranked team in the latest unofficial Class 1A power rankings, will play at No. 3 Vermilion Catholic Tuesday in Abbeville.
