Berwick Housing Authority meeting today
BERWICK, La. — Berwick Housing Authority commissioners are expected to discuss an interagency management agreement to allow the Morgan City Housing Authority to use Clarence Robinson Jr. as an interim executive director in Morgan City. Robinson has been executive director of the Berwick Housing Authority for 12 years.
“I am going to recommend that we give assistance to the Morgan City Housing Authority,” said James Richard, the Berwick authority commission chairman. “It is the right thing to do.”
Richard said that the request from Morgan City chairman Victory Ho did not have specifics and details although he understood the arrangement may last six months to a year.
“We will work out the details at a later date,” Richard said this morning.
Ho, who is out of town for the week, said that he hopes the Berwick commissioners will allow Robinson to work with the agency on an interim basis.
“Clarence Robinson is the best guy for the job of helping us right the ship and head things in the right direction,” Ho said. A board meeting in Morgan City would be held if the Berwick Housing Authority grants approval to the agreement, he said.
The meeting will be held at 4 p.m. today at 2751 5th St. in Berwick.
