Barrett Christopher Cart
March 15, 1980 — September 16, 2013
Barrett Christopher Cart, 33, a native of Morgan City and resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.
Barrett is survived by his parents, John Cart and Debbie Romaine Cart of Patterson; two brothers, Derek Cart of Patterson and Damon Cart and his wife, Kim, of Santa Cruz, Calif.; one niece, Arianna Cart; one nephew, Ronan Cart; three uncles and four aunts.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alden and Evana Cart; and his maternal grandparents, Curtis and Lou Romaine.
Barrett graduated from Patterson High School and received higher education at ULL. Barrett was an artistic individual who enjoyed reading, writing and drawing as pastime activities. He was also an excellent cook, having gained experience at many different restaurants.
The family requests that a time of remembrance and reflection be observed from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, with a rosary being prayed at 7 p.m. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church Hall in Bayou Vista. The church hall will reopen for continued visitation Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at 8 a.m. until time of dismissal.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Bayou Vista with the Rev. William Rogalla officiating. Graveside services will be held privately at a later date by the family.
