Arrests reported in St. Mary
The Morgan City Police Department reports the following arrests over the last 48 hours, according to Chief Marc Folse.
—Aketa Francois, 19, of Egle Street, Morgan City, arrested at 10:17 a.m. on Wednesday on warrants for failure to pay fine for resisting an officer, failure to pay fine on disturbing the peace fighting, and failure to pay fine on simple battery. Remains incarcerated, no bond set.
—Kalan Koen, 25, of Kenner, arrested at 9:46 p.m. Wednesday, charged with disturbing the peace. Released on payment of $246 bond.
—Harol Turner, 62, of Adams Street, Morgan City, arrested at 1:41 p.m. Thursday on a warrant from the sheriff’s office for failure to appear for arraignment for possession of cocaine.
—Edward Scott, 53, of Cherry Street, Morgan City, arrested at 1:08 p.m. Thursday on warrants for probation violation, failure to pay probation fee, and failure to pay for simple battery and domestic violence.
—Chris Smith Jr., 27, of Shivers Street, Patterson, arrested at MCPD headquarters at 1:43 p.m. Thursday on warrants for failure to pay traffic citation for speeding. Incarcerated with bond set at $259.
—Theophalis Gaines, 30, of Lafayette, was arrested at MCPD headquarters at 2:08 p.m. Thursday on two warrants for failure to appear to pay fine for issuing worthless checks.
—Suntana White, 27, of Park Street, Patterson, arrested at 12:59 a.m. today at 11th Street and Railroad Avenue, charged with possession of marijuana. Still incarcerated with bond set at $735.
—Tinisha Jones, 21, Camille Street, Patterson, arrested at 12:59 a.m. today at 11th Street and Railroad Avenue, charged with brake light violation, driving under suspension, possession of marijuana, and a warrant for Terrebonne Parish. Incarcerated with no bond yet set.
In addition to the arrest made in the Thursday shooting incident described on the front page, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests overnight according to Sheriff Mark Hebert.
—John Delco, 47, of Filmore Sreet, Morgan City, arrested on Mount Street in Morgan City at 12:06 a.m. today on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia. Issued summons to appear in court and released.
—Robert Wayne Wilkerson, 33, of South Road, Morgan City, arrested at 9:42 p.m. Thursday at his residence on a warrant for the charge of four counts of cruelty to animals, stemming from an investigation after a deputy discovered four dogs in a small kennel with no shelter or food. The dogs had to be picked up by the Animal Control. He was released on a summons to appear in court.
