Amelia man arrested for criminal neglect of family

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:

—Sterling A. Scully, 49, of Lake Palourde Road in Amelia, was arrested at 11:50 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Scully at a convenience store in Amelia on the warrant. Scully was taken to the parish jail and held. His bail is set at $9,352.37.

—Roberto Vilaclara, 29, of Florence Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday on a warrant for probation violation. Narcotics detectives observed Vilaclara driving on Victor II Boulevard in Morgan City and had knowledge that he was wanted on an active warrant. Deputies made contact with Vilaclara in a parking lot on Victor II Boulevard where he was arrested and taken to the parish jail. No bail is set.

Patterson police arrested the following:

—Enrique Valdes, 38 General Patton Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4 a.m. March 21 for speeding 13 mph over the speed limit and a suspended driver’s license. Valdes paid the fine and was released.

—Angelino-Ordaz Marco Antonio, 39, of Ellis Street in Patterson, was arrested at 8:26 p.m. March 21 for no driver’s license and head light required. Antonio paid the fine and was released.

—Shanae Dowsey, 23, of North Street in Patterson, was arrested for aggravated battery medical. Dowsey was arrested and taken to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville.

—Daniel Herrera, 19, of Morgan City, was arrested at 10:02 a.m. Saturday for no driver’s license. Herrera paid the fine and was released.

—Davide Vincent, of La. 182 in Bunkie, was arrested at 3:58 a.m. Monday for taillights required, no proof of insurance and a suspended driver’s license. Vincent paid the fine and was released.

—Olivia Burton, 50, of Inniswold Road in Baton Rouge, was arrested at 7:32 p.m. Monday for expired license plate, suspended driver’s license and no proof of insurance. Burton paid the fine and was released.

—Arron J. Johnson, 27, of Third Street in Patterson, was arrested 11:19 p.m. Wednesday for switched license plate, suspended driver’s license, no registration, no insurance, flight from an officer and sagging pants. Johnson is still being held.

—Albert Hebert Jr., 48, of Tiffany Street in Patterson, was arrested at 11:27 a.m. Wednesday for DWI, careless operation, suspended driver’s license and simple battery domestic. Hebert is still being held.

—Freddy Bazor, 39, of Tiffany Street in Patterson, was arrested at 1:06 a.m. Thursday for DWI second offense, speeding 14 mph over the speed limit, expired inspection sticker and no proof of insurance. Bazor is still being held.

—Ciera Jack, 17, of Francis Street in Berwick, was arrested at 7:53 a.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace fighting. Jack was released on a $150 bail.

—Ronkresha Barrow, 18, of Guzzetta Drive in Berwick, was arrested at 7:53 a.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace fighting. Barrow was released on a $150 bail.

—A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested at 7:53 a.m. Wednesday for disturbing the peace fighting. The juvenile was released to parents.

—Gary Edwards, 24, of Second Street in Franklin, was arrested at 6:32 p.m. Wednesday for driving under suspension. Edwards was released on a $1,000 bail.
