The next St. Mary Chamber of Commerce business luncheon will be Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Forest Restaurant in Franklin.

Guest speaker Assistant District Attorney Jim McClelland was recently elected 16th Judicial District judge by acclimation after no one qualified to run against him in the Oct. 4 election.

He will replace Judge Bill Hunter.

Reservations for the event, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., must be made through the Chamber by July 30. RSVPs can be faxed to the Chamber’s Morgan City office at 384-0771.

Chamber members will be charged $15, while non-members will be charged $20. Payments will not be accepted at the door.

Payments may be made by check, VISA, MasterCard, billing or mail. The mailing address is P.O. Box 2606, Morgan City, LA 70381.

All cancellations must be received by Aug. 4. Reservations canceled after this date will be charged to the prospective attendees.
