An investigation is wrapping up regarding an individual reportedly flashing a badge in the Four Corners area to solicit sex.

St. Mary Parish Sheriff David Naquin said the incident was reported and a license plate number had been taken. The license plate number was that of a resident of Iberia Parish, Naquin said but declined further comment until the investigation is completed.

The complaint was filed June 28 with the St. Mary Sheriff’s Office, and an investigation launched. Naquin said it’s taken that long because his office has been meticulous about getting the facts straight.

The suspect allegedly presented a law enforcement badge to another individual in the Four Corners area.

The agency the badge came from has not been disclosed.
