2 arrested for disturbing the peace by fighting
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 47 complaints in the parish and the following arrest in East St. Mary Parish:
—John Austin II, 52, of the 200 block of Clausen Road South in Verdunville, was arrested at 7:12 p.m. Thursday for disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance on Clausen Road. The deputy made contact with Austin and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. While speaking with Austin, he repeatedly raised his voice yelling profanities despite being asked by the deputy to refrain from using foul language. Austin was taken to the parish jail and held. He was released on $500 bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Eric Harvey, 29, of the 400 block of Adams Street in Morgan City, and Jazmine Jackson, 23, of the 600 block of Anderson Street in Franklin, were arrested at 1:46 a.m. today for disturbing the peace fighting. Harvey was released on a paid $400 fine. Jackson is still being held on a $400 fine.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported no arrests.
