‘GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays’ seminar set Nov. 10
Holidays can be a difficult time for people that have lost a loved one. “GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays” is a helpful, encouraging seminar for people facing that dilemma.
The free seminar will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Nov. 10 at Immanuel Baptist Church 901 Fig Street in Morgan City. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Upon request, child care is available for children ages nursery through fifth grade.
Seminar features include video interviews with counselors, grief experts and other people who have experienced the holidays after loved one’s have died and who offer practical suggestions and reassurance.
Participants will discover:
—What emotions to expect during the coming days.
—How to prepare for the holidays.
—How to manage relationships and holiday socials.
—How the holidays can help them heal.
Attendees receive a free book with more than 30 daily readings providing additional insights and ideas on holiday survival.
